UPDATED on 3/22:
Rain Or Shine— this event is happening! The large event space between our two artist warehouses— the former Space 4 Art gallery —will serve tomorrow night as a rainy day back-up for all the outdoor portions of our Open Studios!
Please note that you will enter Open Studios from a brand new location: 325 15th Street. Once inside, we will show you a map explaining how to access all the other studios from this new location. Activities that usually take place in our parking lot (the check-in table, concession stand, the Holi color table, and all outdoor performances) will now be housed inside the event space. See the map below to get a better idea of where you'll enter in relation to where our usual parking-lot entry point is.
Read below for a revised performance schedule and other information.
On Saturday, March 23 from 6:00-8:30 pm, come hear live musical performances and stroll through our artists’ studios. Space 4 Art’s Open Studios are always a casual event where artists and arts lovers alike can mingle.
Special cultural programming for the evening aligns with the Hindu festival of Holi— a spring celebration of colors and harvest. Our Director of Operations, Suchita Jariwala, will lead a traditional Holi celebration of throwing colors on people to spread happiness and love. For those who choose to participate, we will use colored powder to lightly color your face or clothes.
At our concession table, Indian samosas and laddoos will be available for purchase, along with our typical snacks and drinks.
Revised Rainy Day Performance Schedule (inside the event space):
6:00-6:20 pm - Honeymoon (Power Pop & Shoegaze band)
6:25-6:45 pm - Nick Lesley (experimental percussion)
6:50-7:10 pm - OMNIHARMONIUM (interdimensional time travel music)
