This event invites artists to make work in dialogue with the porousness of the artist live/work space, where the domestic, creative, and professional blur, react, and speak to each other. At Space 4 Art there is a palpable permeability between which spaces are designated for 'work' and which are for 'living.' This group show of new performance installation works seeks to reposition domestic space as performative space: recasting bed, bath, kitchen, and laundry beyond their quotidian function, beyond notions of gendered acts, beyond the private, into sites of exploration and exposure.
