Rally 4 Culture at Space 4 Art

On Saturday, October 5, join Space 4 Art for a free day of community art, music, theater, and arts advocacy— the culmination of our year-long designation as a World Design Capital legacy project.

During our Rally 4 Culture, civic leaders, artists, and cultural advocates will gather to learn about California's affordable artist housing bill, AB 812. Guest speakers include Jonathon Glus of the City Arts Commission and Felicia Shaw of San Diego ART Matters. See below for the full press release.

Activities from 3-7 PM include:

  • Interactive drum circle with Drummers Without Borders

  • DIY art-printing led by Andrew Alcasid (Bring a T-shirt, hat, or tote to upcycle!)

  • AB 812 advocacy actions and discussions

Cultural performances include:

  • Monologues performed by Herbert Seguenza, co-founder of Culture Clash

  • Live music by Alaric López and Jonathan Piper
