Local Business Love

There are lots of warm fuzzies floating around Space 4 Art this summer that have nothing to do with the heat! Last month, we had the pleasure of partnering with several local businesses to create dynamic visual content for our new website, which is due to launch this fall.

Stacy Keck headed up our photo/video team; she is known throughout the San Diego creative community for her ability to connect with her subjects, put them at ease, and tell their stories well. Stacy introduced us to local videographer Katie Gardner, who supplied us with some incredible behind-the-scenes style footage of artists at work and at play. Katie’s easy-going, experimental approach was the perfect fit for our needs. You may notice Stacy’s photo assistant Erica Joan showing up in a few of the photos and video clips. Erica is a fantastic photographer in her own right and made the day flow smoothly.

Last but not least, S4A artists were able to spend time creating together thanks to a generous donation of space by Luce Events! We had the opportunity to drum with Felix Diaz and his family, and participate in a laugh-till-you-cry group weaving experiment facilitated by Linda Litteral.

We’re grateful to the many Space 4 Art artists and guests who participated in the shoot. We’ve included a few photos here, but make sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook (@sdspace4art) where we’ll be posting more soon. Our social-media feeds will also give you a taste of the brand refresh we’ve been working on with Raygun Design. Co-founder and Design Director Stacey Edelstein and her team are working hard to design a look and feel that both speaks to the uniqueness of our organization and holds space for authentic storytelling with and about the artists who call Space 4 Art home. We couldn’t be in better hands, and we can’t wait to unveil the final product soon!

The photo/video shoot and our new website are made possible by a generous grant from The Conrad Prebys Foundation.
